New Banner Health Medical Center Planned for Queen Creek AZ
Banner Health has purchased 80 acres in Pinal County for the development of a new Medical Center campus that will include a Banner hospital and associated services. Located south of Combs Road on Gantzel Road adjacent to the Town of Queen Creek, the site will be developed in phases, with groundbreaking for an emergency services, diagnostic imaging and ambulatory surgery center slated for early 2006, and an inpatient hospital to follow. A medical office building for physicians is also part of initial site development. The planned hospital and the initial health care services to be developed will feature state-of-the-art medical and information technology, as well as architectural and design features that promote comfort and healing. Phoenix-based Banner Health is one of the largest non-profit health care systems in the country.
