Only a few new builds left, even in a slow market sales have been strong. Del Web has this one right. There are several beautiful floor plans 1398 square feet to 1905 square feet. Prices start from the high $100s. When complete this community will have 726 homes. The community still has some resale and sometimes a short sale or bank owned opportunities. The last few homes should have some great deals available for buyers. Check out my Solera page at Shawn@Shawnstagg.com or give me a call about Solera at Johnson Ranch. I also have a few information packages I would be happy to send.
Cessna to Open New Citation Service Center in Mesa, Arizona
Wichita, Kan.,- Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT)
company, today announced it will construct a new Citation Service Center at the Williams
Gateway Airport in Mesa, Arizona, and relocate tooling and employees from the company’s
Long Beach, Calif., service center. The new facility will open in a phased transition by the first
quarter of 2009.
“Customer preference and our business need to expand made it necessary for us to
consider a move, and Mesa’s government and business development leadership made our
decision to come to Williams Gateway fairly easy,” said Mark Paolucci, Cessna senior vice
president for Customer Service. “With the new center in Mesa, we will have plenty of room to
expand as our business grows, our employees will enjoy a high quality of life, and the Phoenix
area will prove popular with our business jet customers coming here for service.”
Cessna will build a 100,000 square-foot facility – more than twice as large as its Long
Beach facility – on part of its 15-acre tract adjacent to three 10,000-foot runways. Cessna will
also have a 124,800-square foot aircraft ramp, more than 10 times the size of its current Long
Beach ramp.
The Cessna Citation Service Center network consists of 10 company owned centers in the
U.S. (including Long Beach) and Europe, and more than two dozen authorized service centers
around the world. Cessna’s customer service group is consistently ranked as an industry leader in
a number of independent surveys.
Williams Gateway is a former Air Force base that closed in 1993 and was redeveloped as
an aerospace center, an education, research and training facility, and reliever airport for Phoenix
Sky Harbor International Airport. Cessna will join a number of aerospace companies such as
Boeing and Pratt & Whitney, and educational facilities including Embry-Riddle Aeronautical
University and Chandler-Gilbert Community College.

After several months in design, the Town of Queen Creek will soon be adding a new library to the town of Queen Creek. The new library, to be located at the northwest corner of Ellsworth and Ocotillo roads, very close to the new project by Vestar (see previous blog) The library new is designed to provide a gathering place for people of all ages.
Once constructed, the new library will include a children’s area, a teen area, general reading areas, public computers, study rooms and conference rooms. The Town broke ground on the new library on May 23, 2007, and it is anticipated that it will be ready for use approximately one year later in the summer of 2008.
The Town has identified a way to fund completion of more than 19,000 sq. ft. of shell space originally planned for construction in Phase 2 of the new library building, while benefiting Town Parks and Recreation services by increasing the availability of recreation programming space to meet current demands.

Hi all from Queen Creek.
“Home Staging” does it really work? Well let’s define what home staging is. Its-- Beautifying a home for sale: cleaning, repairing, and updating the decor and furnishings of an older home to make it more attractive when shown to potential buyers. A study by HomeStaging.com tested over 2000 homes and found that the ones that were staged sold in half the time and for 6.3% more, pretty convincing numbers. More and more desperate sellers are looking for the advantage that will set them apart. Staging gives a home that all important first impression and a WOW factor that makes all the difference in the world. Staging can be as simple as adding some updated decorations and moving the furniture around to make the home appear larger, or as complicated as completely redecorating a home. It can cost anywhere from $150 to several thousand depending on the level of detail. I have in the past recommended a home stager for a helping hand. It is now almost a necessity to get the edge. As a Queen Creek realtor it is important that I too adopted the staging way of life. As part of my marketing plan a home staging consultation is an important piece of my plan. I also rely on my wife who is a wonderful decorator to stage all of my vacant listings as part of my marketing plan. If you have any questions on Queen Creek homes of staging give me a call I will be happy to answer all of your questions. Also, for further info on staging check out www.homestaging.com

Hi all
I wasn’t going to submit another post this soon but, after the channel 12 news this morning I needed to say something. The story came from the 12 news guys and gals. It was a story concerning valley new home builders and the shabby job they do in constructing homes. You must understand as a realtor I always advise my clients on having home inspection on a re-sale home and I purchase a phase inspection for my new build clients. In this story a water leak developed in the garage of a queen creek home. The damage caused was significant and I feel sorry for the family. As the story goes the builder did pick up the tab of the damage and displacement of the family. What’s got my goat is that all builders in the valley are subjected to problems especially in a hot market. The only city that was implicated in the “Shabby builders” story was Queen Creek!!!
I have sold homes all over the valley and have seen many inspections on new builds, all of them have had some problems and most have had serious problems. In fact one home in Chandler had no insulation in the attic. You would think that someone would have noticed!!
The moral of the story
No matter if you are purchasing a re-sale or new build in Queen Creek or any part of the valley GET AN INSPECTION!!
